A Return to Normalcy
Not that I believe in anything being truly normal. After meeting many people and experiencing many cultures, what is defined as “normal” is relative.
That aside, the vacation is over. The beauty of vacation, for me, is that it is like an extended meditation on my life. It is fascinating to go “somewhere else” only to realize that it is easier to be introspective.
Of course, introspection is quite easy when you can walk out of your room and onto the beach. There’s nothing like the sound of the ocean in the morning, and despite the risk of skin cancer, a little bit of sun light is healthy for you, so do not be too quick to hide in the dark.

This autumn will be an exciting season. Many events have gripped their slots on the calendar and there’s nary a free day in site until November. Even so, the writing here will go on. Many thanks to John C. Dvorak for continuing his tech5 podcast in my absence. It held down the fort, so to speak.
On a few housekeeping notes, the social icons at the bottom of each post have been updated to a new bottle design. I think they’re pretty fun. Click them and share your favorite posts.
Also, from a theme perspective, the site will be undergoing an upgrade to Thesis 1.1 by Sunday evening, so if there are any oddities or hiccups, please let me know, but you should not notice anything if I do my job right.
Be well.

Hey, WD! I’ve got a lot of catching up to do on your site amongst others. Glad to see you’re still around. Oh, and congrats on getting listed on Alltop. That’s an awesome achievement.
Nice to have you back my Thesis brother. Just Tech5 just isn’t enough.
